Adriana Rovina Innaciotti lives
and works in Mantova, Italy (about 100 miles from Milan).
Her artistic production includes: dollmaking,
painting (oil-painting and water-colour), sculputure, embroidery.
Adriana has an unique approach to the doll; she doesn't indeed
hold on canonical stereotypes (babies or infant dolls), preferring
on the contrary to reproduce real children in real situations,
as time to time her inspiration suggests.
Artist's creativity is moved by a simple look at a photo in a
magazine or by a detail of a little girl found somewhere out in
the street. This is enough to image and then create a detailed
"situation" (position of the head and the body, the
appropriate dress, the suitable wig and some accessories).
The biggest satisfaction for Adriana occurs when, during the steps
of the production, the doll becomes more and more close to the
original idea.
In her work Adriana pays always more attention to artistic and
personal gratifications than commercial ones; in this way, every
doll she makes is always a unique piece, never repeated.
Adriana exhibits often, at home and abroad, and her creations
have been shown on many magazines from Italy, France and U.S.A.
Adriana's Dolls appear in various collections in Italy, France,
Switzerland, U.S.A., China.
